Fragrance can fade over time without affecting performance, since the mineral fill — not scent — does the work. Expect up to 24 months of passive use, depending on humidity, airflow and how enclosed the space is.
The Institute of Chemical, Microbiological and Environmental Analyses (ICMEA) measured lower concentrations of ammonia and ethylene gas compared to reference values when testing the triple-chamber mineral sample. Results reflect the specific sample and test conditions.

Correct placement matters: keep the pad in a spot with natural air circulation, free and uncovered. Don't put it inside closed containers or sealed bags — it needs contact with the air in the room.
Care instructions call for periodic sun exposure of 3–4 hours, about once a month. In everyday use, avoid constant direct sunlight or heat sources.
Keep away from children and direct pet access. Do not open or take apart, do not swallow the contents, and keep it away from direct contact with food or animal feed. Never place it in water or other liquids.
Because of the nature of the ingredients, traces of mineral dust or oils may appear on the outer fabric, so place it carefully on delicate surfaces and fabrics to avoid possible staining.
